Pra’ delle Torri: May holiday at the beach

In pre and late season the Olympic swimming pool is covered. During high season the roof is removed, so that it can also be used as an outdoor swimming pool. All other swimming pools are opening mid-May. The exact date depends on the weather. At the pools are different water slides and play areas for children of all ages. When the swimming pool is open, various activities are organised. You can think of water polo, aquarobics and other sporty activities.

Bella Italia in the May holiday

Campsite Bella Italia is located directly to lake Garda. It’s one of the biggest campsites on lake Garda with 5 swimming pools. One of these swimming pools is heated and is open from April till end of September. The opening dates depend on the weather at that time. All other swimming pools are open from May.

Cisano San Vito at Lake Garda

Campsite Cisano san Vito on lake Garda has no heated swimming pools, but the temperatures at lake Garda are around 17-22 degrees in May. This is already a very pleasant spring sun. The swimming pools at Cisano are open from end of April till mid-September (depends on the weather). The swimming pool is around 30x15 meters and 1,5 meter deep. There is also a small children’s pool of 6 x 5 metres. There is a new and big pool at the San Vito part with a water playground and slides. This swimming pool is open from June till September.

Norcenni Girasole Club: May holiday in Tuscany

At campsite Norcenni Girasole club there is a covered swimming pool. If there is a cloudy day, the children can still enjoy and play in the water. During the season there is a small train that goes up and down between the swimming pools. This is ideal for families with children, so you don’t need to carry all your stuff. In May the temperature is around 23 degrees.

Heated and covered swimming pool at Park Albatros

At campsite Park Albatros on the Tuscan coast you can find 5 swimming pools in all forms and sizes. For example, there is a jacuzzi, Olympic swimming pool, lagoon pools and a broad waterslide. From all these swimming pools is the covered swimming pool heated. The other swimming pools are heated, during the season, by the sun.

While the children play in the water, the parents can relax and enjoy the Italian sun. You can use the sunshades and sun loungers around the swimming pool for free.

Union Lido: two aqua parcs

Campsite Union Lido has not one but 2 aqua parc, namely Aqua park Mare and Aqua park Lagune. Aqua park Mare has a heated swimming pool with a lagoon for children, multiple slides and 2 hydromassage baths. The Aqua park Lagune is a bit bigger than this park. In total there are 7 swimming pools with a surface of white sand, a real lagoon. The area has small waterslides for young children and big adventurous water slides for older children. The park has over 6000 m2 of water fun. The opening dates of the swimming pools depends on the weather.

Spiaggia e Mare: swimming in the May holiday

At campsite Spiaggia e mare is a wonderful swimming paradise. You can swim laps, splash around or relax on a sun lounger. Since a few years there is a beautiful water park with a pirate boat. And for older children there is a high slide with a tower of 10 meters high. Not all swimming pools are opening at the same time because of the weather conditions.

Campsite Eden

Since 2018 there is a new spray park at campsite Eden. This park is added to one of the swimming pools at the campsite. In preseason this spray park heats up quickly. The opening of the swimming pools also depends of the weather at this campsite.

In Italy there are many amusement parks or other activities which you can do. Think of visiting cities like Salò or Bardolino, markets of a day in Gardaland or Sealife.

Lots to do during the May holiday in Italy

In April and May it is not as busy in Italy as in high season, the temperature is already very pleasant, and nature is blooming beautifully! A perfect time to book a holiday to Italy! There is lots to do for every age. Visit one of the amusement parks such as Gardaland or Sealife or visit one of the cultural and historical cities like Verona, Rome, Venice, Siena, Florence or Pisa. Also, the smaller and authentic villages are worth a visit. Buy your groceries at one of the many local markets. Enjoy a delicious Italian lunch at a terrace and take a real Italian ice cream as dessert.
