Lake Garda is Italy's largest lake. It is also the most famous lake and, according to many, the most pleasant lake in Italy. Not only because of its beautiful nature and charming towns, but also because of the many water sports opportunities and delicious wines. The peaks of the Alps rise to a height of more than 2,000 metres directly around Lake Garda. For (mountain) hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers, there are challenging, well-marked routes through the nature of Lake Garda. The northern part of Lake Garda is more mountainous than the southern part, where the lake is wider. Good food and drink are an important part of Italian life. Around Lake Garda, you will find several excellent restaurants serving fresh pasta, pizza, fresh salads or delicious fish (trout) and meat dishes. All this while enjoying a nice glass of wine and an espresso with grappa or limoncello. And don't forget the delicious Italian ice cream! There are several nice places around Lake Garda, from idyllic villages with winding alleys to tourist attractions with famous sights. The authentic markets in Lazise and Sirmione are definitely recommended.

From the campsite, you can easily walk along the promenade into Peschiera, where you’ll find a colourful centre full of lively squares, cafés, romantic alleys, small shops and restaurants.At the bustling harbour there’s always something to see, and many holidaymakers rent a small boat for the day.The ancient Roman walls and excavations, surrounded by the azure-blue canal, are truly impressive, and a walk around them is well worth it.The cycle path along the River Mincio starts right in the centre of Peschiera and leads you, via Borghetto with its charming watermills, all the way to Mantova without encountering a single car. A boat excursion on Lake Garda, with its breathtaking views, will be an experience to remember for a long time.

Peschiera del Garda is a perfect base for many beautiful villages and towns around Lake Garda. The hinterland with its rolling landscape houses numerous top wine cellars, many of which have wide doors open for tasting. A (free) bus will take you and your children to the No. 1 theme park in Italy, Gardaland. There are also several water parks, botanical gardens, a safari park and of course the thermal baths of Sirmione. Actually too much to mention. A day at Verona, the city of Romeo and Julia and the world-renowned Arena cannot be missed. For the true romantics, a visit to Venice is a must-see!

Visit the manificent town of Malcesine, and catch the cable car to the top of Mount Baldo (1.745 m) for some stunning views reaching Riva at the north of the lake all the way to the south!
For hikers and bikers there are many challenging and well-marked routes through the countryside of Lake Garda.
Verona boasts boutique lined streets, ice cream parlours and the wonderfully famous roman amphitheatre. Plus, don’t forget to visit the legendary and romantic Romeo and Juliet's balcony!
Peschiera invites you to an array of shops, bars and restaurants, plus a busy port with ferries visiting every part of the lake!

Whilst the traditional italian markets in Desenzano and Salò are definitely worth a peek.
Gardaland, is Italy's largest theme park, and the wet and wild water park Acqua Paradise are both amazing fun for all.
